Martino, who only goes by only one name, says customers who enter the Yellow Strawberry, where he has styled now for 18 months, are looking for more than a haircut or coloring. “They come in to change their look,” he says. Martino, a native Colombian, began his hairstyling career in the Big Apple with Leslie Blanchard’s private group, one of the most exclusive places in New York.
